We are excited to announce the launch of a new publication titled “MENA Diaspora Engagement: The Change Mantra” by HuMENA for Human Rights and Civic Engagement. This publication is a comprehensive resource for understanding the challenges and opportunities of engaging MENA diaspora activists and civil society organizations in advocacy efforts.
The paper presents the findings of a unique outreach exercise to the MENA diaspora CSOs and activists, highlighting the linkages between the diaspora activists and organizations as well as their relations with donors. It also provides policy recommendations for improving communication and cooperation between diaspora activists and organizations, and encouraging international organizations and governments to court the support of diaspora.
This publication is a valuable resource for policymakers, civil society organizations, and diaspora activists who are interested in improving policies and livelihood outcomes in the MENA region.
